Sable was born November 14, 2024 to our herd matriarch, Kate and Rockin Robin Ranch’s mini Sundog bull, Festus

Fraya was born November 17, 2024 to our mini Angus, Willamina and Rockin Robin Ranch’s mini Sundog bull, Festus

About Kune Kune Pigs

  • Kune kune  is (pronounced KOO-nee KOO-nee) and means “short round”

  • Small, hairy breed of domestic pig often found with distinctive wattles on their chins

  • From mainland New Zealand

  • Are slow growers, taking up to 2 years to fully mature

  • For meat purposes, they are considered a lard pig

  • Unlike other pigs, kunekunes can live exclusively on well-maintained pasture grass

  • Females reach sexual maturity at around 10 months old and males at around a year

  • Females have a gestation period of 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days

  • They are very social, intelligent, playful and affectionate
